Perfect running time, too. Clocks in at 90 minutes, which is all you need. Better than Executive Descision? Seagal and Kurt Russell.
You be the judge - a two-way tie for first, IMHO. A great double feature at the least. Buy and have a ahem blast! The acting isn't the greatest but I like this movie.
It doesn't hold up to some of his better films but I just like it. But I watch it about every 3 of 4 years.

This is my favorite Wesley Snipes movies! I am happy with this blu-ray because it has the audio and the subtitles in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
This is what I am looking for! This is by far Wesley Snipe's greatest film and setup his career for further success. Lots of action and some hilarious one liners.
This film has nothing new to offer but is quite appealing. I can't decide whether Bruce Payne is hammy or believable as the villain. He plays Charles Rayne or the Rayne of terror a notorious airplane hijacker who is being transported to LA from Miami for trial.
But as soon as his plane is in the air his band of nameless crooks including a crazily miscast Liz Hurley set him free. But not to worry because John Cutter Wesley Snipes is on board.
And he just happens to be head of security for the airline. It's his job to round up the crooks and save the passengers from the evil intentions of Rayne.
And he's only got 80 minutes to do it in. I'm not kidding. This movie is 84 minutes long. The credits roll at the minute mark. Minus 2 minutes for the opening sequence and another 20 of tedious character building for the action to begin.
You're left with a minute slice of entertainment. It makes you wonder why they bothered. If Warner wanted to make a great hijack movie why did they bother with the Passenger 57 script?
A couple of brief moments of action make it barely worthwhile, but watch on it TV.

So John who's an anti terrorism expert decides it's time to retire from this dangerous job. However, a friend who works for an airline offers John a job as his chief of security.
So John is being flown to Los Angeles for the companies annual meeting where he will be introduce as the Chief of security.
However, John encounters one big problem as the FBI is transporting Charles Rane one of the most sadistic and deranged terrorist of all time to Los Angeles on the same plane.
Now John has to stay on the alert because anything can happen when a dangerous criminal is on an airplane. Now a few thoughts on this movie! Again this is one of the few movies that captures you attention at the beginning and it never stops until it's over.
John Wesley Snipes does a good job as his role as John Cutter. Based on the action, adventure and drama that are in this picture I give this movie 8 weasel stars.

This is a great 90s action film with the typical one liners, evil English bad guy, and plenty of action.
My main complaint is that the product delivered was not as described. See images. Report abuse. Another Bruce Payne classic! It's not that Wesley doesn't 'bring it' - of course he does - but Bruce seems to get the better chance to stretch his acting legs, and he makes the most of it.
As Charles Rane, he's blue-blooded in every sense - aristocratic, arrogant, and utterly cold - and takes a casual pleasure in being an efficient and ruthless killer.
He absolutely does not care how many lives he takes so long as he gains his end, and because he also happens to be both handsome and chillingly charming when he so wishes, a part of you can't help but admire him, even to the point of being relieved when he finally gets his comeuppance.
The plot itself is nothing out of the ordinary, but the two leads make it gripping viewing, and there's even a nice touch of romance right at the end, when Charles Rane finally discovers the love of a good woman who can melt his icy heart and help him vanquish the inner demons from his hideous childhood - oh, no, wait, sorry, that's just my fantasy!
This is a great film, i think I first watched it on TV a looong time ago, this is a great watch with an amazing soundtrack by Stanley Clarke! This is terrible: it's like somebody decided to do a spoof on Airplane - it's so bad it's almost funny.
Wooden acting, every stereotype you can imagine, implausible plot. I like this movie from when it was first released.
If I just want to watch a light weight movie to relax it is one of the movies I watch. Okay acting and the story a little far fetch but basically a take your mind of your troubles type of movie.
